Therapy for Midlife and Perimenopause in Texas
Emotional support for the changes no one fully prepared you for.
You don't feel like yourself
Maybe it crept up slowly. Maybe it arrived all at once. Either way, something has shifted:
-
Anxiety or irritability you don't recognize in yourself.
-
Mood swings, tearfulness, or a low that won't lift.
-
Sleep that's broken up, leaving you foggy and short on patience.
-
Questions about who you are now: as a woman, a partner, a mother, a professional.
-
Grief for the version of you that used to have more energy, or more certainty.
-
Changes at home — kids leaving, adult children moving back home, parents aging — piling on at the same time.
This season is real, and it matters

Perimenopause can last for years, and the hormonal changes can affect mood, anxiety, sleep, and focus. It often lands in the middle of everything else: careers at their peak, children growing up, and parents who need more care. Too many women are told to just push through.
You deserve better than that. Therapy offers a place to make sense of what's changing, grieve what needs grieving, and decide who you want to be in this next chapter.
How we'll work together
Together, we'll:
-
Make sense of what you're feeling, so it stops feeling like you're "losing it."
-
Build tools for anxiety, irritability, and low mood that fit your real life.
-
Talk honestly about identity and relationships, including what you need from the people around you.
-
Make room for grief and possibility, both of which belong in this season.
-
Protect your energy with boundaries that reflect where you are now.
Working alongside your medical care
I'm not a medical provider, and therapy doesn't replace care from your OB-GYN, primary care doctor, or menopause specialist. If you haven't talked with a doctor about what you're experiencing, I'll encourage you to. With your permission, I'm glad to coordinate with your providers so your care fits together.

Frequently asked questions
Can therapy help with perimenopause if it's hormonal?
Therapy doesn't change your hormones, but it can help with how this season affects your mood, anxiety, relationships, and sense of self. Many women find therapy works well alongside medical care.
I'm not sure I'm in perimenopause. Is this still for me?
Yes. Whether your changes are hormonal, life-stage, or both, you're welcome here. Your doctor can help with the medical questions; we'll focus on how you're doing.
Can I use my insurance?
Yes, if you have one of the plans listed above. Insurance requires a diagnosis on your record, so some clients choose private pay instead.
Do I need to live in Texas?
You need to be physically located in Texas during each session.

Ready to begin?
